Wallet & Service Credits Terms

These Wallet & Service Credits Terms (“Wallet Terms”) explain how the MuftiTalk Wallet and MuftiTalk Service Credits work in the MuftiTalk User App. They supplement the general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

These Wallet Terms describe product behaviour. They are not legal advice and do not make regulatory claims (including under Indian payment-system or PPI rules) unless MuftiTalk later publishes counsel-approved wording.

1. What is MuftiTalk Wallet?

The MuftiTalk Wallet is a digital account in the User App that records the Service Credits available to you for eligible MuftiTalk services. The balance shown (for example, “Available Balance: ₹500”) represents your available MuftiTalk Service Credit balance, not a bank account, deposit, or cash balance.

2. Service Credits

Service Credits are units recorded in your Wallet that may be used only for eligible MuftiTalk services under these Wallet Terms.

  • Purchased (Real) Service Credits — credited after MuftiTalk verifies a successful payment through a supported payment provider.
  • Virtual Service Credits — credits MuftiTalk may grant for promotions, bonuses, referrals, cashback, goodwill, approved refunds as credits, or similar programs. Virtual credits keep separate provenance and may have different conditions (including expiry where approved).

3. Purchasing Credits

You may purchase Service Credits using payment methods supported in the app. Credits are added only after MuftiTalk’s servers verify payment success with the payment provider. A client “success” screen alone does not create credits.

Package prices and credit amounts are shown before you pay. Where the displayed peg is one Service Credit per Indian rupee paid for a standard package, that relationship is a product configuration and may change for future packages subject to notice and applicable law.

4. Use of Credits

Service Credits may be used only for eligible MuftiTalk services, including paid chat, audio, and video consultations with verified scholars according to the pricing shown for that service. MuftiTalk may expand or limit eligible services over time.

5. No Cash Value / No Withdrawal

As designed, MuftiTalk Service Credits:

  • are not a bank account or cash deposit;
  • are not transferable between users;
  • cannot be withdrawn to a bank account;
  • cannot be redeemed for cash;
  • cannot be used outside MuftiTalk;
  • cannot be used for peer-to-peer payments.

Scholar earnings and payouts are a separate settlement system and are not funded by transferring your Service Credits to a scholar’s Wallet.

6. Virtual Credits

MuftiTalk may grant promotional, bonus, referral, cashback, goodwill, or similar Virtual Service Credits. Each grant records a reason/source. Virtual credits may be subject to additional program rules. They are not interchangeable with cash and remain subject to the restrictions in section 5.

7. Expiry

The data model supports an expiry date per credit lot. Purchased Service Credits are not expired by MuftiTalk under a fixed duration unless and until an approved product and legal policy is published. Promotional or other Virtual Credits may expire when the applicable program states an expiry. When an expiry policy is finalized, MuftiTalk will update these Wallet Terms and in-app notices as required.

8. Consultation Charges

Eligible consultations consume Service Credits according to the pricing displayed for that scholar and modality (for example, fixed credits for a chat consultation, or credits per minute for audio/video after any configured free window). Billing is calculated by MuftiTalk’s servers. Client timers are informational only.

9. Refunds

Where a refund is approved under MuftiTalk’s refund rules, MuftiTalk may:

  • return funds to the original payment method via the payment provider; and/or
  • restore value as Service Credits (refund credits) recorded in your Wallet ledger.

Partial and full refunds may be available depending on the case. Refund decisions and amounts follow the applicable policy and payment-provider rules. Duplicate refunds are not permitted.

10. Errors / Unauthorized Transactions

If you believe a credit purchase, debit, or adjustment is incorrect or unauthorized, contact MuftiTalk support promptly at info@muftitalk.com with the transaction details shown in your Wallet history. MuftiTalk will investigate and may reverse or adjust entries using compensating ledger records where appropriate.

11. Suspension / Abuse

Subject to applicable law, MuftiTalk may restrict or suspend Wallet features if we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, chargeback abuse, payment disputes in bad faith, attempts to circumvent closed-loop restrictions, or other violations of MuftiTalk terms.

12. Changes

MuftiTalk may update Wallet rules, credit types, package pricing, eligible services, or expiry policies subject to applicable law and any required notice. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page and, where appropriate, in-app notices.
